IRTIC (University Research Institute on Robotics and Information and Communication Technologies) is a centre of university research which depends of the University of Valencia and currently consists of four research groups which cover different disciplines connected with the field of information and communication technologies.
Since its establishment at the beginning of the 90s, the institute wanted to establish partnership frameworks with public institutions and private companies in order to promote the exchange of knowledge and for bringing closer research to the business world. IRTIC mostly develops activities of applied research and development of tailored solutions, promoting the action lines which provide benefits to society. These activities are specified in projects and contracts about systems of information management, telematics applications to traffic and transport, computer graphics and virtual reality, integration systems for disabled, civil equipment simulation, network services computer safety and digital processing of images.
